Golf. There are two courses close by, one at Diss and another at Bungay, both of which will allow pay and play. Rambling. The surrounding countryside offers beautiful walks. The exceptional Thornham walks are only two miles away where you will find twelve miles of waymarked paths and walks. Surfaced paths suitable for both wheelchairs and pushchairs lead through the woodland to the recently restored walled gardens. Local OS maps are available in your cottage. Cycling. The lanes on the Norfolk / Suffolk border provide some excellent cycling with gently rolling terrain, ensuring that it is not too strenuous ! There are published cycle routes to suit all tastes. Off road cycling is available in the Forest enterprise forests, and the Alton Water & Shotley peninsula. Swimming. The market town of Diss (four miles away) has a good sized indoor swimming pool with gymnasium, sauna and steam room and is open to non members.
